Fresh and Simple Pretzel Bread

This is the easiest and best pretzel bread recipe you can find with only 7 ingredients you already have or can easily find at your grocery store.!

25 minutes to make, 1 hour to rise, and bake for 25 minutes
~8 rolls or 2 loaves
Ingredients
2 1/4 teaspoon of active yeast (one packet)
1 cup of warm water (105-110°F)
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 tablespoon milk
4 tablespoon melted butter
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
Boiling Wash
3 quarts water
1/2 cup baking soda
Steps
Measure and put 2 1/4 teaspoon of active yeast into a stand mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of brown sugar (light or dark) and microwave 1 cup of water until it is warm to the touch or 105-110° degrees
Give this mixture a light stir and then let it sit for about 5 minutes or until frothy

Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and then combine with 2 tablespoons of milk

In a small bowl combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt
After the yeast mixture has frothed, pour in the melted butter and milk mixture and give that a stir. Slowly add in the flour and salt mixture and let the mixer run on a low speed until it combines

Grease a sepearate bowl with Canola oil and place the ball of dough in there. Cover with a damp towel and let it rise for an hour
Preheat oven to 375°
Boil 3 quarts of water with 1/2 cup of baking soda. Once boiling, form the dough into 8 separate balls. Add two to three balls into the boiling mix and flip the dough after 30 seconds
Repeat this process for all of the balls of dough and once boiled, dust with salt and put into the oven for 20-25 minutes, rotating halfway through
Once out of the oven, they should be golden brown and brush with melted butter, about 2 tablespoons and sprinkle with salt again
Let them cool and dig in!
